The hall has been around since 1897; built as a meeting place for Rossland's Miners. The Hall stretches 60 feet long and 6 stories high from the back end. The old rustic architecture is truly admirable, with its high ceilings, rich wood, and massive stage. Absolutely perfect for performances and clean acoustics. Above the main doorway, a tiny, two-windowed balcony is set into the gable-end. Viewed face-on across Columbia, the Hall looks small, but approached along the sidewalk from the west the true volume of the building is apparent. Working men toiled to bring Red’s wealth to the world, and Labour history was made here. The MINERS HALL was the first Union Hall built in BC. The Miners Hall is one of the nicest venue's in the Kootenays. Anyone that has attended an event there before knows it is prime for Halloween!
